I have tried to ignore it, but with Thanksgiving this week I can no longer pretend. The Christmas season is upon us (although I will not turn on the Christmas music till post Thanksgiving) and most everyone I know is starting their holiday shopping.

I don’t actually have much shopping to do myself. We decided, in both families, not to do gifts any more.  It was getting ridiculous as we appeared to be just trading gift cards because no one knows what to get anyone. We get a gift for our nephew and my husband and I exchange gifts.  This all makes for a much less stressful holiday experience.

If you, however, do have some shopping to do I would like to suggest some great items for those on your list living a healthy and fit life. I have a top 10 list based on items that I use regularly or have found extremely helpful on my fitness journey. It is a Top 10 list, but I have no favorites so they are in no particular order.

by Susan Schlosberg – I have tried many different journals, but this is my favorite. It has plenty of room for exercises in an advanced weigh routine plus plenty of space for other activities. Everyone should have a journal to keep track of their progress and this is one of the best.
  • Oxo Good Grips Food Scale with Pull-Out Display
    • Facebook

    – A good kitchen scale is a must.  Weighing food instead of using a measuring cup is often more accurate. This one is super accurate and easy to use.
  • Hamilton Beach 3-in-1 Slow Cooker with 2-, 4-, and 6-Quart Crocks
    • Facebook
    • Twitter
    • Pinterest
    – The crock pot has made a comeback.  Crock pots make easy to cook delicious meals that use less fat due to the slow cooking. This one has 2, 4, 6 quart capacities that make it easy to adapt to any family size.
  • Misto Gourmet Brushed Aluminum Olive Oil Sprayer
    • Facebook

    – I love my sprayer. I recommend having more than one. Not only are they great for cooking oil but also an excellent way to spray a spritz of homemade vinaigrette on a salad.

I hope these suggestions make completing your holiday shopping a little easier. Don’t forget a little something for yourself!
